BALANGA CITY — A businessman and book author urged students here to take advantage of their skills in social media in applying for a job or starting their own businesses.
Paulo Tibig told his listeners, who were mostly college students, in the recently concluded 4th University Town Summit of the City Government of Balanga, that even at the comfort of their homes, they can use their cellular phones and online e-commerce to earn money like selling their products in social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Linked-In.
Tibig who authored the bestseller entrepreneurial book, “Strategies of a Champion Entrepreneur,” told the students: ‘’Dapat palaging may mindset ang mga kabataan ngayon na pagbutihin ang pag-aaral hindi lang para makapagtrabaho, kundi para makapagnegosyo rin.’’

BALANGA CITY — Donations for the victims of 7.2-magnitude Bohol earthquake given to the Diocese of Balanga reached P592,845.50, Bishop Ruperto Santos reported to newsmen here.
In a press statement, Santos said that the amount was sent and channeled through social action ministries of the Archdiocese of Cebu and the Dioceses of Tagbilaran and Talibon in Bohol.
The chief clergyman added that these “gracious help were accompanied by the prayers of hope and healing to all.”
