Limay, Bataan-Last August 3, 2014, the Rotary, Rotaract and Interact Clubs of Limay in partnership with Red Cross Bataan Chapter conducted the first leg of their bloodletting activity at Limay Polytechnic College. The activity is a signature project the Rotary Club of Limay family as it aims to help alleviate the insufficient supply of blood especially this rainy season with the expected rise of dengue cases.

Bataan PCWC gears for children’s month 2014

BALANGA CITY, Bataan — The Provincial Council for the Welfare of Children (PCWC) held a meeting at the Capitol compound Wednesday morning and discussed the various technical assistance programs it will provide to the 11 towns and one component city of this Province.

Marilyn Tigas, Chief of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office said that PCWC will lead an investment planning workshop in Orani town on August 7-8 and a synergy on child-friendly governance in Abucay on August 19-20.

DTI considers setting up system for referrals among investment agencies

MANILA–The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is eyeing a referral system among investment promotion agencies (IPAs) to ensure that the Philippines will capture all investment interests it is getting.

“I encouraged them to work together. If an investor comes to their economic zone but the investment is more appropriate to another IPAs, refer it to other IPAs,” Manalo said.

Samal RPT collection rises

   SAMAL, Bataan – This fourth-class municipality now ranks third in the Province in terms of effective collections of real property taxes (RPT), Mayor Gene M. Dela Fuente reported.

   Dela Fuente added that this year they expect to collect more than P50 million in local taxes. Limay and Mariveles ranked first and second respectively.
