Barangay exec plans Christmas giveaways

LESS than three months before Christmas Day, yet Punong Barangay Al Balan of Barangay Alion in Mariveles, Bataan is already drawing up plans for the holding of a Christmas event without mass gathering.

Balan gained reputation for distributing rice, sardines, milk, vegetables, fruits, roasted pig, children and women’s needs during the three-month lockdown due to the threat of coronavirus.
“This coming Christmas season we might not be able to spend much for the holiday like we used to do so as to avoid mass gathering. We might distribute grocery items to our local residents instead,” said Balan during a chance meeting in Limay Tuesday.

He said his office plans to make everyone merry this coming Christmas but not so much the way they were accustomed to due to pandemic.
