CHAIRMAN and Administrator Emmanuel D. Pineda of the Authority of Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) cited and thanked the Philcement, now considered the major cement manufacturer in the country, for putting up a plant in the little less than two-hectare land in the seaside village of Sisiman, within the Freeport Area of Bataan.

Pineda said during the recent press briefing hosted by Philcement, maker of Union Cement, that all components of infrastructure and documentation were extended to the locator which is investing more or less P1 billion. Philcement documentations were already accomplished and in order since February 2018 as per Philippine Investment Promotion Plans (PIPP) registration with AFAB.
“Your success is our success,” said Pineda as he proudly mentioned the important FAB facilities including housing and accessibility. “These are our testament of our support,” he added.

Dr. Magdalino Albarracin, vice chairman of the board of Phinma, was “very proud of the facilities here,” said Pineda.
Anton del Rosario, Philcement director for marketing, said the plant churns out 180 bags of cement per day. Raw materials, though, are sourced from Vietnam. Port facilities were built in FAB for exclusive use of Philcement, Del Rosario said.
