BALANGA CITY, Bataan. – “We are proud to say that here at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) – Bataan District Jail, we are 100% Drug Free.” said Jail Warden Superintendent, Andrew W. Tauli who presented their accomplishment report held at Bataan People’s Center.
Various health and livelihood programs were also conducted for the people who were deprived of liberty. A total of 78 persons deprived of liberty are expected to graduate this September under the Alternative Learning System (ALS) Program. Inspections in different facilities were also conducted for there are reported cases of attempted possession of drugs.
Governor Albert Garcia commended the efforts and achievements of the BJMP – Bataan District Jail. He also mentioned the on-going construction of the new District Jail which is expected to have wider facilities to cater/provide the needs of the persons deprived of liberty.
