Representative Jose Enrique S. Garcia lll of the province’s 2nd Congressional district is expecting a robust and dynamic and investment posture in the historic peninsula in the coming years.
In an interview with Representative Garcia at the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) 2nd Stakeholders Forum held at Pan Resort here the other day ,the Bataan solon stressed the province would become one of the top investment hubs in the country with the upcoming unique attributes in the expansion of the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB).
The latest signing of Republic Act 11453 by President Duterte explicitly provides for the expansion of FAB, the former BEPZ, the first export processing zone in the country.
The law, the first of its kind, would surely entice local and foreign locators who are projected to invest in various manufacturing firms that would create job opportunities for the residents, construction of commercial property leasing and housing facilities, service-oriented provisions.
Rep.Garcia said the local government would provide the site of the eco-industrial zone and the role of the FAB in extending the systematic operational requirements, incentives, tax-exemption provisions of the designated special ecozone.
