Bataan representative Jose Enrique S. Garcia III of the second Congressional District is strongly advocating for a healthy lifestyle and physically-conscious society with the launching of Kabataan at Kalusugan para sa Kinabukasan (KKK) in the province.
City Agricultural Officer Nerissa B. Mateo, explained this innovative program of Cong. Joet focuses on the utilization of vacant spaces in school premises for productive vegetable horticultural purposes.
She explained that Cong. Joet’s concept of a healthy lifestyle starts at a young age through the consumption of hale hearty foods available within the school premises.
She emphasized the commitment of Congressman Garcia to provide gardening tools, planting materials, water carrying gears and other farm inputs that would improve the quality of crops produced as wells as the physical and mental growth of school children.
The program would benefit the school children, teachers and the residents, Ms. Mateo added.
