DILG cites Brgy. San Carlos as first LGRC in Central Luzon


The Sangguniang Bayan of Mariveles headed by Vice Mayor Lito Rubia cited the achievement of Barangay San Carlos for being recognized by the DILG as the first Barangay Local Governance Resource Center (LGRC) in Central Luzon. Other member of Mariveles SB are Councilor Frein Jarane Castaneda, Councilor Harry Golocan, Councilor .Susan Murillo, Councilor Ronald Arcenal, Councilor Angelito Sunga, Ouncilor Jose Carandang, Councilor Tito Pancho Catipon, Councilor Victoriano Isip, ABC President Venancio Villapando Jr., and SK Municipal Federated President Vincent Charles Banzon. DILG Provincial Director Myra B. Moral-Soriano explained the recognition in Tagalog,

‘Ito ay naglalayong payabungin pa ang kapasidad ng mga lokal na pamahalaan sa pamamagitan ng pagbabahaginan ng ‘best practices’ ng bawat lokal na pamahalaan na tutugon naman sa mga suliranin ng taumbayan at ng komunidad”. Meanwhile, the Central Command and Monitoring System (CCMS) of Barangay San Carlos was completed in December 2018, just a few months after the new barangay administration took the helm. The barangay CCMS is equipped with 17 CCTV cameras, 3 monitoring LED TV units, 8 units of two-way radio, wired and wireless connection, back up electricity using generator set, and Barangay Early Warning and Public Announcement System (BEWPAS). It will be remembered that Gov. Abet Garcia and Cong. Joet Garcia commended in separate occasions San Carlos folks for having the BEWPAS facility.
