Following mounting complaints of commuters for alleged overcharging of tricycles and pedicabs, Dinalupihan Sangguniang Bayan (SB) members agreed to hold a transportation summit.
We should conduct a transportation summit as soon as possible to tackle the problem and find what the SB can do. For one, we can review the fare ordinance”, said Councilor Noli “Kabayan” Soriano. Councilor Pam Muli Sandoval pointed out that tricycle and pedicab drivers should have their IDs displayed in their tricycles or pedicabs very visible to passengers like in Balanga City. :”This is also for the security of passengers”, she added.
Councilor David said there is now a pressing need to craft a new municipal ordinance on tricycle and pedicab fares to resolve confusion among drivers and passengers.
