DSWD steps up SLP

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Regional Office 3 in coordination with the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) recently distributed sustainable livelihood kits to qualified beneficiaries from the 10 municipalities and lone city of Bataan as part of its Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) for the poor and marginalized households and communities to improve their socio-economic conditions.

A total of 510 beneficiaries, most of whom are members of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), who have undergone skills trainings jointly conducted by PWSDO and TESDA, passed the assessment and were awarded their NCII received livelihood starter kits/sets. Some of the trainings conducted were on farming, cookery, welding, and electrical installation
The PSWDO will conduct continuous monitoring to make sure that the sustainable livelihood kits are useful to the said beneficiaries.
