In Bagac town, vaccination against Covid-19 means having a chance to own a brand-new motorcycle, 25 kilos of rice or P1,000 cash.
For every 5,000 vaccinated people from two vaccination sites in that municipality, a raffle will be drawn to pick a winner for the motorcycle. Five inoculated residents may also win 25kg of rice or P1,000 cash from the raffle.
Bagac Mayor Ramil del Rosario said the scheme is one way of enticing residents to get vaccinated to fight off the killer virus.
Michelle Mendoza Pillagara, secretary at the office of the mayor, said residents who were vaccinated outside of Bagac shall be entitled to the raffle once he or she reports to the barangay for the purpose of record gathering.
Pillagara said businessman Ronald del Rosario donated two units of motorcycle.
