Gov. Joet Garcia cites Mariveles SK feat

Bataan Gov. Joet Garcia cited on Thursday the achievement of Sangguniang Kabataang council of Barangay Townsite in Mariveles town for being among the 10 nominated for Sangguniang Kabataan Awards, Governance and Active Citizenship category.

Townsite SK Chairperson Bryan Dave Perez paid a courtesy call on the Governor with Bataan Board Member Lovely Joy Poblete at The Bunker where they briefly had a meet-and-greet and congratulated the youth leader for the feat. Perez and Poblete laid out plans for a sustainable program for Barangay Townsite’s youth.

Gov. Garcia said that it was the “Barangay Townsite Presscon” that propelled the SK to be nominated for the prestigious award, encouraging the youth to be active, concerned about the social issues, dedicated and  responsible community leaders.

“Ang pagkilalang ito ay patunay ng kanilang didikasyon at malasakit sa kapwa kabataan at sa komunidad,” the Governor explained.
