Gov. Joet leads coronation of the Virgin Mary at Grand Rosary Mass Rally for Peace

Bataan Governor Joet Garcia joined hundreds of faithful at the Grand Rosary Mass Rally for Peace held at the Bataan People’s Center last October 11, 2025, where he led the Coronation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in a solemn act of devotion and unity.

 

With the theme “Maria, Aming Ina, Samahan Kaming Maglakbay Tungo kay Kristo na Aming Pag-asa”, the event gathered devotees, clergy, and students from diocesan schools as well as public and private schools across Bataan, all united in prayer for peace, healing, and steadfast faith amid the challenges faced by the nation.

 

In a heartfelt gesture of faith, Gov. Garcia crowned the image of the Virgin Mary, symbolizing the deep reverence and enduring devotion of the people of Bataan to the Mother of God. The ceremony reflected the Province’s continuing commitment to spiritual renewal and collective prayer for harmony and hope.

 

The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Most Rev. Rufino Coronel Sescon Jr., D.D., Bishop of the Diocese of Balanga, who emphasized the power of prayer, compassion, and unity in nurturing peace within communities and families.

 

Through the recitation of the Holy Rosary and act of consecration to Mary, participants reaffirmed their faith and devotion, drawing strength from the Virgin’s intercession to guide the province and the nation toward lasting peace and solidarity.
