GQMC recognizes Bataan’s ISO Champions

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Committed to its mission of delivering excellent public service towards a better quality of life for all, the Provincial Government of Bataan (PGB) embarked on a quest aimed at ensuring customer and client satisfaction, trust and confidence, the ISO 9001:2015.

Initially, twelve offices under the PGB, namely: Provincial Governor’s Office, Iskolar ng Bataan, Bids and Awards Committee, Accounting, Budget, Treasury, General Services Office, Engineering, Human Resource Management, PDRRMO, Metro Bataan Development Authority and the Social Welfare and Development Office took part in the said quest for ISO certification which is an internationally recognized standard.

Just recently, above mentioned offices under the PGB were given a certificate of recognition by the Government Quality Management Committee (GQMC) chaired by Secretary Benjamin Diokno of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) for successfully establishing a quality management system certified to ISO 9001:2015 in compliance with Executive Order No. 605 s. 2007 at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC). Provincial Accountant, Mrs. Alice Reyes and Officer-in-Charge of the Provincial Human Resource Management Office, Mrs. Luz Enriquez received the award on behalf of Governor Abet S. Garcia who was attending an equally important event at the time.

To ensure that standards are met, said offices are currently undergoing series of audits, also focused on continually improving the systems and operations aimed at providing excellent public service to the public towards a better quality of life for each and every Bataeño.
