In line with the strong advocacy of Congressman Joet Garcia to achieve a Tobacco Free Generation (TFG), a roadshow entitled “Kabataan at Kalusugan para sa Kinabukasan” participated by Junior and Senior High School students at Limay National High School (LNHS) was held today, January 30, in cooperation with Youth Health Ambassadors, Department of Education (DepEd), and other local and national partner agencies.

The roadshow aims to promote a healthy lifestyle among students, strengthen the leadership of the student government, and increase the engagement of the community in schools. This is in line with the recently passed Universal Health Care Law which aims to provide quality health services from the barangay health unit up to the district hospitals.

Aside from the dance fitness activity, there were also break-out sessions on leadership, free eye check-up, healthy food seminar, and palarong lahi.
On the same day, Limay Mayor Nelson David joined Congressman Joet Garcia in the ribbon cutting ceremony of the 4-storey, 16-classroom school building through the initiatives of Department of Public Works and Highways DPWH, DepEd, Provincial Government of Bataan, Municipal Government of Limay, and 2nd Congressional District of Bataan.
