Engineer Wilfredo Mallari from Bataan is appointed by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. Undersecretary of Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD).
He was recommended to the post by DHSUD Secretary Jose Rizalino “Gerry” Acuzar.
Mallari and his family profusely thanked President Marcos and Sec. Acuzar for the trust and confidence.
Both Acuzar and Mallari are natives of Balanga City, Bataan.
Mallari is former DPWH Assistant Secretary during the Duterte administration.
Before becoming DPWH Asec in December 2020, he retired as DPWH Region 4-B or Mimaropa regional director.
He had also been the region’s assistant director.
He was district engineer of Bataan’s first district for 14 years and of Las Pinas- Muntinlupa in Metro Manila for three years.
Mallari rose from the ranks, starting as part-time civil engineering aide in 1975 while studying at the Adamson University in Manila.
