Newly-appointed chief of Balanga City Economic, Investment and Development Office (CEIDO) Abul Khayr Amalon M. Alonto, has expounded that technology-trained Mayor Francis Anthony S. Garcia is stepping up the transformation of the City into University Town where lifelong learning is highly valued with essential components of infrastructure, environment, faculty and network.
Alonto is expecting more locators and commercial and retailing entrepreneurs to take part in labor –intensive productive activities in this fast growing component city of Central Luzon.
He said Balanga City is prepared to be a key investment area for tourism, health, education ,information technology \ business process management and knowledge based industries in Central
Luzon which catapults the component city ‘s bid to metamorphose into the region’s Tech capital and become one of the most progressive and livable cities in the country.
In recognition of the City government ventures to become an investors’ haven, the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) awarded eight years ago the coveted Most Business-
Friendly LGU of Fame Award while IT and the Business Process Association of the Philippines granted three years ago the honor of one of the Next Wave Cities for successfully passing the assessment based on talent, infrastructure, cost and business environment.
