The Public Employment Service Office (PESO), in collaboration with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) headed by DOLE Bataan Provincial Director Leilani Reynoso, conducted a Government Internship Program (GIP) Orientation and Contract Signing today, October 3, 2023, at The Bunker.
The primary goal of the GIP is to provide three to six (3-6) months internship opportunity for high school, technical-vocational, or college graduates who want to pursue a career in public service in either local or national government, to further refine their skills and abilities while gaining practical experience in public service. Additionally, this program serves as a pathway for the government to recruit potential personnel who will serve the community. Director Reynoso stressed the significance of participating in the aforementioned program, as it opens up new horizons and opportunities for skills development while working in the government.
Mr. Geoff Loyola, the representative of Congressman Albert S. Garcia, inspired the beneficiaries and reminded them to always put their best foot forward, as this will be an asset when applying to other government or private agencies.
A total of 312 Bataeños from the second district, composed of the municipalities of Pilar, Orion, Limay, and the City of Balanga, benefited from this program, implemented by the Office of Congressman Albert S. Garcia. The fund amounting to 9.5M was sourced from the office of House Speaker Martin Romualdez.
