Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) Administrator and CEO Hussein Pangandaman said the project supports the Authority’s direction to diversify energy generation as it continues to attract more industries and investments.
The project will rise on a 27-hectare property and is among the largest renewable energy developments within the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) to this day. When it becomes operational, it will help meet increasing energy requirements and expand the use of clean sources within the Freeport.
The project also appears in the Department of Energy’s Green Energy Auction Program (GEA-4), which lists Tai Yang 1 Power’s accepted capacity offer of 16.5 megawatts (MW) to be supplied to the national grid once operational.
