BIR Bataan headed by Revenue District Officer Merlyn Vicente urged individuals who have not settled their estate taxes to avail of the extended amnesty offered by the government, until June this year.
Originally the deadline was June 2021, but if the amnesty is availed, there is no need to pay the surcharge and penalty due to the delay in estate tax payment. The amnesty covers the estate of the deceased who died on or before December 31, 2017. Contributed by: Butch Gunio
