PEO to undertake declogging of silted rivers in Dinalupihan and Hermosa towns

The Provincial Engineering Office (PEO) is undertaking declogging  of heavily silted rivers and tributaries in the two flood prone northern Bataan towns.

Engineer Enrico Yuson, PEO Head  identified the three major rivers in Hermosa and  Dinalupihan towns as Almacen, Caulaman and Layac as the priority projects this rainy season  since flooding cannot be avoided due to denuded forests in the mountain ranges in Zambales, Bataan and Pampanga .

Bataan governor eyes NEDA expertise to measure local economic performance

BALANGA CITY- Bataan Governor Albert Raymond S. Garcia is eyeing the expertise of the (NEDA) to undertake   an in –depth and efficient appraisal performance analysis  of the local government units to find out exactly  the socio-economic impact of their development programs in the countryside.

He stressed the NEDA should conduct a positive assessment of the local government agencies instead of concentrating on the regional stage  as part of the performance measurement study of their capability of pursuing good governance, socio-economic and investments levels .

$200 million waste processing plant to rise in Bataan town

   BALANGA CITY , Bataan –  The construction of a modern waste to energy processing plant worth $200 million in the upland village of the coastal town of Orion, this province, is reportedly the first investment portfolio from the collaborative  projects from South Korean firms following a successful four-man delegation visit last month.

   Mayor Antonio Raymundo, Jr.  of Orion town said that South Korean businessmen showed enormous interest investing in the historic peninsula of Bataan focusing on waste processing  to power generation.

Bataan to adopt South Korean waste to energy plant concept

BALANGA CITY –  The provincial government of Bataan is eyeing a new concept of disposing garbage after seriously evaluating the performances of environment –friendly South Korean technology to solve the waste problem while doing away with the costly sanitary landfill project .

Governor Albert Raymond S. Garcia headed the four-man delegation to observe the thriving operations of four waste to energy facilities in South Korea last week.

Garcia  said the new trend in  garbage technology  being propagated by the Korean technocrats is to do away with the more costly landfill project and instead go for a cheaper  and safer know-how in disposing waste by turning them into pellets that would in turn be used as fuel for power plant.

Bataan town Mayor seeks P 250.2 million funding for APEC conference

   BALANGA CITY-  Executive Secretary Paquito N Ochoa, Jr.  has asked the Department of  Public Works and Highways (DPWH)  to include  the request of  Mayor Rommel V. Del Rosario  of Bagac town for funding allocation  for the implementation of projects amounting to P 250.2 million  for one of the  host  sites  for the  2015 Asia Pacific Economic Conference (APEC)  summit, the Las Casas de Acuzar , in the coastal village of Pag-asa ,Bagac town , this Province.
