P50 million road project at AFAB sought

Marcos held a consultative meeting last week with the business leaders, provincial and municipal officials headed by Governor Albert Raymond S. Garcia and Dinalupihan Mayor Gila S. Garcia, president of Bataan Mayor’s League at Crown Hotel here.

The Senator said the main objective of the consultative meetings with the various sectors is precisely to identify local priorities for infrastructure development since the country has no over-all comprehensive plan in implementing public works projects in the countryside.

Villapando, who hails from the industrial town of Mariveles, said the improvement of the zigzag road is long overdue and it was built before the World War ll by Filipino and American soldiers. The road would hasten the transport of high-quality products manufactured inside the AFAB for exports, likewise, insuring no delay in the arrival of raw materials to the industrial firms.

The panoramic view of the Mariveles zigzag road  another tourist attraction at the starting point of the infamous Death March, is the main thoroughfare linking AFAB to other ecozones in Central Luzon and Metro Manila, Villapando added.
