Department of Budget and Management Secretary Amenah F. Pangandaman vowed on Friday that her Office supports the construction of Bataan public park when she spoke before local officials led by Gov. Joet Garcia during the groundbreaking of the said project.
Sec. Pangandaman expressed her profound appreciation of the project saying it’s about time local residents particularly the youth realize the need for public parks. “Our kids should veer their attention away from too much gadgets and malls,” she said.
She echoed the advocacy of President Marcos Jr. who wants government money to trickle down to the countryside. “Ang gusto po ni Presidente Bongbong Marcos ay talagang makarating ang budget sa kinauukulan,” Pangandaman pointed out.
Informed by the Governor that the local budget is not sufficient to carry out the construction of public park, Pangandaman assured local officials that the budget will be coming up once the master plan is completed. “Para masimulan na natin agad, tapusin na natin. Kasi ang gusto po ni Pangulong Marcos ay makarating ang budget,” said Budget Bastonera ng Mamamayan as she’s often addressed by her subordinates.
