FAB is Bataan’s economic engine-Gov. Abet

   BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Bataan Governor Albert “Abet” Garcia has described the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) in Mariveles town as an economic engine of the province.

   Speaking in a tourism event last week, the governor pointed out that the free port, for the past years, has attracted foreign investors and created thousands of jobs for local folks. “The growth of FAB is tremendous, becoming an important economic engine of the province”, said the governor.

Bataan farmers finish DAR – AES training

   ABUCAY, Bataan—Fifty seven farmer- beneficiaries from Bagac and Dinalupihan towns finished the year-long Agricultural Entrepreneurship and Extension Services (AESS) training, a program of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR). The farmers received their certificates of graduation in a ceremony held in Villa Amanda Resort, this town.

   A professional service provider, UMIC International Incorporated, was hired by DAR Bataan, to train the 32 farmers from Bicol Binukawan Marketing Cooperative and 25 from Dinalupihan Multi-Purpose Cooperative.

DTI extends P1.6M-assistance to Mariveles bagmakers

   BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The Mariveles Bagmakers Multi-purpose Cooperative, Inc. is the latest recipient of the Shared Service Facility (SSF) project from the Department of Trade and Industry. 

   Nelin Cabahug, Bataan DTI Provincial Director, said they provided the bagmaking cooperative in Mariveles a computerized embroidery machine and a flat-bed binding machine, worth P1.6 million. Mariveles is home to more than 60 multi-national firms in the fast-growing Freeport Area of Bataan, the former Bataan Export Processing Zone.

   LUNGSOD NG BALANGA, Bataan – Magiging katuwang ng Provincial Tourism Office (PTO) ang Department of Education (DepEd) sa isasagawa  nitong cultural mapping  para maghanap ng mga bago at magagandang lugar sa Bataan  na hindi pa nararating at nababalitaan ng iba nating kababayan sa Pilipinas at sa ibang bansa.
