Bataan town Mayor seeks P 250.2 million funding for APEC conference

   BALANGA CITY-  Executive Secretary Paquito N Ochoa, Jr.  has asked the Department of  Public Works and Highways (DPWH)  to include  the request of  Mayor Rommel V. Del Rosario  of Bagac town for funding allocation  for the implementation of projects amounting to P 250.2 million  for one of the  host  sites  for the  2015 Asia Pacific Economic Conference (APEC)  summit, the Las Casas de Acuzar , in the coastal village of Pag-asa ,Bagac town , this Province.

Balanga holds longest tuyo laying contest

BALANGA CITY—City Mayor Joet Garcia and Vice Mayor Noel Valdecanas led on Monday the City’s annual longest tuyo laying contest.

City and barangay officials who were divided in five (5) groups competed in the contest held along the road fronting the Plaza Mayor de Balanga. Each group represents a color.   

Bataan to launch own Labor Day Job Fair

PROVINCIAL CAPITOL, Bataan-The provincial government through the Provincial Employment Service Office (PESO) will launch its own job fair come May 6 at the Bataan Sports Complex in its bid to provide jobs to jobless Bataeňos.

PESO office said yesterday that through the initiative of Gov. Abet S. Garcia, more than 500 jobs are up for grabs.

Central Luzon, champion of the Philippine National Skills Competition 2nd time in a row

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga—Region III (Central Luzon) repeated its feat last year by emerging again as champion of the 2014 Philippine National Skills Competition (PNSC).

      Competitors from the Region snatched 10 of the 16 gold medals that were up for grabs in the different trade areas.

      Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Region 3 Director Ted Gatchalian led Central Luzon to become champion of the national skills competition in two consecutive years.   

      At the opening of the national skills competition held here earlier, TESDA Director General Joel Villanueva announced that winners in the national skills competition will have the opportunity to compete and represent the Philippines at the ASEAN Skills Competition (ASC) in Vietnam, October this year.

2 MAAP students named in TOSP

BALANGA CITY, Bataan- The Ramon F Magsaysay (RFM) Foundation and the Commission on Higher Education named two students from the Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific ( MAAP) together with 18 other young students as  finalists for the 2014 Search for Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines (TOSP) Central Luzon.

Bataan launches DOH’s “Alaga Ka” program

Dinalupihan, Bataan –The provincial government of Bataan launched Monday morning in Dinalupihan Civic Center the Department of Health’s (DOH) “Alaga Ka” program.

Bataan Governor Albert Garcia said the program aims to provide thousands of families with greater access to primary health services.

Prov’l launch of Philhealth held in Dinalupihan

DINALUPIHAN, Bataan-A total of 10,000 deserving residents here have been covered for free hospitalization and check up as  the “Provincial launch of Philhealth” was held here this morning.

Witnessed by top regional officials of Philhealth, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Deparment of Health , Provincial and Municipal officials led by Gov Abet S Garcia and Mayor Gila S Garcia, thousands of residents here, accompanied by their respective barangay leaders received their certificates  of membership from Philhealth.
