3 public schools sa Bataan, tumanggap ng computers mula sa NGCP

MARIVELES, Bataan —-    Tatlong public schools sa lalawigan ang nabiyayaan ng National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) ng 3 laptops, 30 tablets at 30 SD cards bilang bahagi ng kanilang computerization program at pakikipag-ugnayan sa mga host communities ng kanilang transmission facilities.

Sa isang simpleng turn-over ceremony kamakailan para sa computer assistance program ng NGCP katuwang ang Peninsula Electric Cooperative, Inc. (Penelco) sa Renato Cayetano Memorial Elementary School sa Brgy. Maligaya rito,  sinabi ni Napoleon Viterbo, NGCP District 5 Head,  na layunin ng kanilang programa na gawing moderno at computerized ang teaching methods sa mga public schools sa Bataan at iba pang eskwelahan sa Gitnang Luzon.

Balanga mayor, 4 others attend World Urban Forum

BALANGA CITY, Bataan- Mayor Joet S. Garcia of this city was among the members of the League of Cities of the Philippines (LCP) who attended the recent World Urban Forum in Medellin City, Colombia, which is aimed at enhancing opportunities for growth, learning, and partnership.

A younger brother of Gov. Abet S. Garcia and son of incumbent Congressman Tet Garcia (2nd district) Mayor Joet, LCP National Vice Chairperson, was joined by Mayor Lina Montilla of Tacurung City, Muntinlupa City Mayor Jimmy Fresnedi, Dipolog City Mayor Evelyn Uy, and Candon City Mayor Ericson Singson who attended the international forum.

4 Bataan students bag 4 gold medals in skills competition, will represent the country in the ASEAN Skills Competition (ASC) in Vietnam this October

ORION, Bataan- Four students from Bataan’s Technologial Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA)  and Eastwood College bagged four gold medals during the recently concluded Philippine National Skills Competition (PNSC) overall crown in the 2014 edition.

 Aside from the four gold medals, a silver medal and a Diploma for Excellence were also awarded to two other students from the province.

Latter Day Saints Charities, Gov. Abet enter into MOA

BALANGA City- The Latter Day Saints Charities-Philippines, Inc. (LDSC) and the Provincial Government of Bataan entered into a memorandum of agreement as to the acquisition and distribution of medical devices for humanitarian purposes.

Benson Misalucha, Member of the Board of Trustees, represented LDSC while Gov. Albert S Garcia signed for the Provincial Government.

Balanga City, Bataan – In commemoration of the 72nd Araw ng Kagitingan which falls on the 9th day of April, also dubbed as Fall of Bataan, the Bataan Tourism Center headed by Ms. Christina Banzon, and the Bataan Tourism Council Foundation, Inc. chaired by Mrs. Vicky Garcia in cooperation with the Provincial Social Welfare & Development Office under Mrs. Marilyn Tigas, sponsored a Chorale Competition participated in by the members of the Bataeno Federation Senior Citizens Association of the Philippines, Inc. and Bataan League of OSCA (Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs).
